Dates Where Types Carbon Search
Sort by:

Applications are presented sorted by this date. It is also used to filter applications by date based on the from and to filters. The choices are:

  • Date received - the date that the application was loaded onto the TDC system.
  • Date validated - the date that TDC officers checked that necessary information has been submitted.
  • Publicity expiry - the date by which comments and objections from the public should be made.
  • Target date - the date at which a decision is expected.
  • Date last updated - the later of the date the application was added to this index and the date of its latest document
  • Date created - the date the application was added to this index

Appeals and prior notifications do not have the above dates, instead they have Date Started, which is used for sorting these.

Emissions saving summary

The table left shows analysis of regulated emissions from applications that have a carbon reduction plan giving:

  • Number of contributing applications with link to list thereof
  • Total floor area of buildings
  • Count of dwelling in contributing applications
  • Target emissions rate (TER) compliant with Part L of building regulations 2013.
  • Dwelling/Building emissions rate (DER/BER) given in the Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)
  • Emissions saving as a result of plans

These are broken down into domestic and non-domestic buildings.

Since October 2019 policy S7 has required that applications demonstrate a reduction of 48% below that required by Part L of building regulations 2006, this is equivalent to a reduction below Part L of building regulations 2013 of 26% for dwellings and 24% for other buildings.

Major application classification

The table below categorises applications received in each year. If you click on a cell in the table, you are linked to the applications that fit the associated conditions. Note that as policy S7 came into effect at the end of October 2019, applications from November and December 2019 are grouped with 2020.

Classifications

The classifications in the table left have the following meanings:

  • Objection raised - applications where ACT raised an objection.
    • Live - application has not been decided, and no satisfactory plan has appeared
    • Ignored - application has been approved with no satisfactory plan or condition
    • Accepted - either a satisfactory plan has appeared, or a condition has been raised
    • Not approved - application is exempt or has either been withdrawn or refused
  • ACT_Classification - a classification applied by ACT to applications analysed, with the following meanings:
    • Status objection - ACT raised an objection, which has not yet been superceded by another classification.
    • Insufficient detail to judge if carbon reduction target is met
    • Good - CRP shows an improvement in emissions rate better than required, that is also likely to be achieved
    • Pass - CRP passes the requirement of S7, but goes no further
    • Fail - CRP does not show sufficient reduction to satisfy S7
    • Missed Opportunity - Permission granted without a satisfactory CRP, and no conditions to provide one.
    • Condition - Permission granted with a condition to provide a CRP
    • Not relevant - Application was for something where a CRP is not relevant
    • Further Investigation - CRP contains anomalous information that needs further investigation to determine a status.
    • Unclassified - Application is not yet classified, this is normally because information isn't available yet
  • Carbon Plan - indicates if application has a Carbon reduction plan, combined with its status.
    • No Plan - Granted - application doesn't have a CRP and has already been decided
    • No Plan - Failed - application doesn't have a CRP and has been decided by being refused, withdrawn or is exempt
    • No Plan - current classified - application doesn't have a CRP, has not yet been decided, but ACT has classified it.
    • No Plan - current unclassified - application doesn't have a CRP, has not yet been decided, but ACT has not classified it.
    • Plan - Granted - Application has a CRP and has been granted
    • Plan - Failed - Application has a CRP and has been refused, withdrawn or is exempt
    • Plan - Not Decided - Application has a CRP and has been decided
