My background is in Music and Science. I have a degree and PGCE in music and lesser qualifications with work experience in Biology and Chemistry. As I approach retirement I work part-time advising and sitting on the boards which oversee various studies in Medical Research with the University of Exeter and of Plymouth.

 I am active in my local community social and environmental action group, especially on the environmental side and am also the treasurer. My local community has declared a Climate Emergency and I am a member of the Town Council’s sub-group which seeks to to implement this.

 I believe it is imperative that we all act now if we are to avert a planetary catastrophe and secure a bright and healthy environment for future generations. Having been an active member of ACT since the first public meeting, I feel more optimistically, that we can just manage to attain these goals.
