Just when we’re planning to plant thousands of trees, we are realising that we are going to lose thousands of Ash trees to Ash Die-back. This will affect the amount of carbon-fixed as well as devastating our landscapes, woods and hedgerows – and being a serious safety issue!
Any ideas on how to best manage this?
We’re making a table of the best tree species to replace them with.
There may also be a call for community woodfuel groups to (safely) take away the logs!
